Fun For Halloween - Pre-School
|
Yeah! Halloween is coming, and we have had some fun activities this week. Monday in art the children cut out pumpkins and glued shapes to make a jack-o'-lantern. In math the children matched numbers to a candy corn and in language the children engaged in a Halloween bingo game. Tuesday in art the children continued to work on their jack-o-lanterns and in math the children added colored discs to a pumpkin 1 to 1 grid. We also took a walk around the block on the beautiful day and saw so many Halloween decorations, so fun! Wednesday in art the children painted with Halloween cookie cutters and math they sorted dinosaurs by color. Today the children worked their fine motor skills as they explored playdough with rollers, and cookie cutters. In language the children matched letters to haunted houses and in math they engaged in a Halloween concentration game. Tomorrow in art the children will do some crayon resist art and in math they will roll n' cover numbers on a jack-o-lantern. This week in the sensory table the children explored macaroni noodles with bugs, bowls and tongs.
